The last hotel we stayed at didn’t just have one adjoining door it had two. So you could have three rooms connected! We also had a balcony you could go out onto so I felt like I was in a room of doors! four different entrances into that one damn room.
To for sure get a door that closes, Homewood, Staybridge or Residence Inn, but read the room description carefully. Specifically look for a one bedroom suite. Staybridge and Homewood have two bedroom, two bath suites, but each property usually just has a few of those and they're $$$.
