- St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Ammannsville) On October 2, 1917, fire consumed St. John the Baptist church in Ammannsville, halfway between Houston and San Antonio.
- Nativity of Mary, Blessed Virgin Catholic Church (High Hill) In unincorporated High Hill, one hundred miles west of Houston, the 1906 redbrick Catholic church known locally as St. Mary’s was built for a community of Germans and Austrian-Moravians of German descent, who had been settling within the Fayette prairie since at least the 1850s.

- San Fernando Cathedral. (San Antonio) The Cathedral of Our Lady of Candelaria and Guadalupe, also known as San Fernando Cathedral, is the oldest church in Texas and one of the oldest existing cathedrals in the United States.
- First Methodist Church. (Houston) The First Methodist Church was built in 1910. This church stands in stark contrast to the towering modern buildings and skyscrapers surrounding it.
- Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. (Fredericksburg) German and Czech immigrants settled in the historic town of Fredericksburg in the mid-1800s. By the early 1900s, their descendants had built the first church in the community.
- Dallas Baptist University Pilgrim Chapel. (Dallas) The Dallas Baptist University Pilgrim Chapel, also known as the Patty and Bo Pilgrim Chapel, is located in the heart of the Dallas Baptist University campus.
