Alien X first appeared in X = Ben + 2, where he stopped a flood caused by a broken dam. After much fruitless arguing, Ben convinces Serena and Bellicus to transform him into another alien (mostly by insulting them). Ben swore that he won't use Alien X again, as it is not worth the price.
The main reason for this is that if you listen to his voice, you can only hear Ben's voice talking. But when Bellicus and Serena are the ones in control in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, you could hear all there of them speaking in unison. This means Ben was on his own with Alien X.
After defeating Ben as various aliens, Alien X obtained his Omnitrix. However, Ben eventually reclaimed his Omnitrix with the help of his family and their counterparts, who also retrieved the other Omnitrices Alien X stole.

When Alien X eventually arrives in search of Alien Force Ben's Omnitrix, Ben transforms into an alien named Big Chill and orders the other Tennysons to activate the trap. However, the trap fails, Big Chill is defeated, and Alien X decides to rethink his prior mercy and take Ben's life.
