The National Good Neighbours Network project was designed to support the growth of Good Neighbour schemes across rural England, beginning with the network of Rural Community Councils supported by ACRE (Action for Communities in Rural England) and leading on to the development of a national network of schemes.
Going one step further, Good Neighbours has steadily pursued innovation to improve the lives of its marginalised neighbours. In 2009, it developed a heating accumulator, G-saver, using appropriate technology for the poor in Mongolia. Good Sharing, a social enterprise, has been established in order to supply the device and create employment.
