Nov 3, 2020 · Yes, the suspicion was that Fox decided they would be unable to broadcast in their increasingly 'populist' (ie partisan) style without drawing the attention of Ofcom: US broadcasting regulation is very different to that in the UK with regards to political expression in news coverage, and as mentioned above, their viewing figures didn't justify separate UK operations and output.
