Feb 9, 2023 · For obvious reasons, Mother Gothel did not cut Rapunzel’s hair, but instead tied her up and used the hair without her consent. Unlike the prince, Flynn also wasn’t blinded – instead mortally stabbed. When Rapunzel attempted to heal him, he cut her hair, and her power was lost.
In his final moments, Flynn cuts Rapunzel's hair and destroys its healing power, killing Gothel and effectively himself. It's a very powerful scene. After a few brief heart-wrenching moments, it's revealed that Rapunzel's healing power is contained in herself , not her hair, and her tears bring Flynn back to life.
