450-440 Million Years ago
•Ordovician-Silurian Extinction Event kills around 60-70% of the species around at the time. The suspected cause is climate change.
375-360 Million Years ago
•Late Devonian Extinction Event kills around 70-72% of the species around at the time. The suspected cause is volcanic eruptions.
252 Million Years ago
•Permian-Triassic Extinction Event kills around 90-96% of the species around at the time. The suspected cause is an asteroid impact.
2072 January 4
•Abe Ghiran is experimenting with gravity generators and installs a low-gravity field in the northeast lab of the Reactor Level.
January 11
•Communications Officer Wu arrives on Citadel Station.
February 11
•Security-2-Bots are recharged in maintenance bay. Lonni Stevens warns for energy drain to auxiliary systems.
2114 January
•Diego approves the transfer of soldier G65434-2 to the Rickenbacker's escort mission (reassign order #98322/U). Soldier complies, finishing his military training prematurely, one year earlier than originally scheduled.
January 9
•Soldier reports to shuttle Mayfair (number 8138) at Port Francisco at 4:00 local time. Soon afterwards he arrives on the Von Braun in Shuttle Bay 2 of the Command Deck.
February 3
•The starship Von Braun is launched to begin its maiden voyage of exploration and scientific discovery. Developed and owned by TriOptimum, and under the command of captain Anatoly Korenchkin, the Von Braun sets off on mankind's first interstellar journey, to the Tau Ceti system. Due to political wrangling, TriOptimum is persuaded by government and military forces to construct the Von Braun as a joint mission. A second, military ship, normally incapable of faster-than-light travel, will "piggyback" along with the Von Braun, connected to the larger vessel using a complex system of umbilical cables and docking clamps. The UNN Rickenbacker, commanded by captain William Bedford Diego, is chosen to accompany the Von Braun.
