To Live and Die in Mexico is the first episode of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 10 and also the 217th episode of the entire NCIS: Los Angeles series.
Left gravely injured after the missile attack and unable to communicate with the team in the U.S., Callen, Sam and Kensi, with an unconscious Deeks in tow, search for a safe way home as the Mexican Cartel places a "dead or alive" bounty on their heads while Mosely and retired Navy Admiral Hollace Kilbride beseech their contacts in Mexico and D.C. f...
•Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks are revealed to have survived the SUV explosion, but almost all of them are severely injured with Callen suffering cracked ribs, internal bleeding and a punctured lung that causes him to develop problems with his breathing, Sam's leg wound has reopened, causing him to lose blood, Deeks who's suffering from a severe head injury remains unconscious throughout most of the episode, briefly regaining consciousness while he and Kensi stay overnight in the church and Kensi is unharmed.
•Retired Navy Admiral, Hollace Kilbride arrives in Los Angeles to help the team and takes charge when Hetty goes missing.
•Mosley kills Spencer Williams.
•It's revealed that Arlo Turk is an NCIS Special Agent.
•The remains that Callen and Sam discovered in the previous episode are confirmed as belonging to Hidoko, also revealing that she was the one seen being burnt to death after presumably being captured and tortured by General Vasquez and his men.
•Kensi and Deeks reconcile from their previous fight from the season nine finale.
•Despite being credited in this episode, Linda Hunt does not appear physically and is only heard by voice due to her recovering from her car accident which occurred in July 2018.
