Dec 2, 2020 · I've previously discussed the difficulty in reading the KJV and the issue of outdated languages, however, I was recently having a discussion about such archaic words and I thought it would be nice to have a list of such words, where they occurred in scripture, and what they meant in modern English.

May 30, 2023 · Second Corinthians 5:17 is a well-known verse in Christian circles, often learned from childhood: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (NKJV).
Old things are passed away - The old views in regard to the Messiah, and in regard to people in general, 2 Corinthians 5:16. But Paul also gives this a general form of expression, and says that old things in general have passed away - referring to everything.
What does 2 Corinthians 5:17 mean? Paul has written that Christ's death for sin has changed the way he regards people. Instead of looking at each person as a mere human being, he must view those who are in Christ as something entirely different.

It is accepted that the bible is the most valuable item that exists on the face of the earth. It was a gift handed to Queen Elizabeth on her coronation and described as such. Every word in the Bible is described as God breathed and therefore has immense power. It stands to reason that anyone who is afraid of the power of the Word of God would do an...

The leader of such people would be Satan. And before you click away, that’s what the Bible is all about. The battle between good and evil, God and Satan. For me, I get goose bumps. I used to think that the whole God/Satan thing was dreamt up by some good storyteller that, should he have been eligible for royalties would be the richest man in existe...
If you look at the word ‘lips’. It is mentioned in the KJV No.118 times. However, it is only mentioned in the NLT No.56 times. Why would the word ‘lips’ be so significant? It is because the Word of God gets it power from the spoken word. Whilst the kingdom of God resides inside each and every Christian, God’s power is released from spoken prayer. C...
God ‘spoke’ the world in to existence. There is power in the Word and we need to keep that in mind when reading and studying the Word of God. Say it out loud! As far as I am concerned, there is no such thing as silent prayer. That’s called meditation. Words are things. They are powerful. In 1 Samuel 3:17 Elijah says to Samuel, who has just heard fr...
I believed that whilst the modern-day Bibles are easier to read, you should also have a King James Version to cross reference as a word here or a word there (especially thousands of them) can make a whole difference to how you interpret a scripture and listen out for God. How wrong could I have been. That’s all about to change… I cannot ‘nutshell’ ...
