Independent living. Equipment and adaptations. If you or anyone in your household struggles to get around your home, is disabled or has a visual or hearing impairment, you may be able to get help. You could get equipment to help make things easier, like a walking frame or bath seat.
To request them, you can either contact Manchester City Council Adult Social Care, or call our helpline and one of our support workers will be happy to make a referral on your behalf. For wheelchairs, please ask your GP for a referral to the Wheelchair Service.
