Before talking with her during the main quest, Delphine has little social interaction beyond that of a regular innkeeper, as well as expressing suspicion of the Dragonbornthrough dialogue.

According to her Thalmor Dossier, Delphine is in her mid 50's and a high-priority target for the Thalmor. During The Great War, she evaded attempts at her life several times, ultimately escaping the Thalmor and being stationed in Cyrodiil. She returned to Skyrim, remaining alert to the surveillance of the Thalmor.

After the Dragonborn retrieves the Dragonstone and returns to Dragonsreach with the Dragonstone for Farengar, the Court-Wizard will be discussing the ancient Nords with Delphine and how they defeated the dragons. There she will be wearing her leather armor with a Thieves Guild Hood. If the Dragonborn tries to speak to Delphine, she will just tell them to "mind their own business."

Delphine is the acting Grandmaster of the Blades faction, one of the last remaining members operating in Skyrim. While searching for the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller for Arngeir, the Dragonborn finds a Mysterious Note in its place at Ustengrav, saying to go to the Sleeping Giant in Riverwood and rent the attic room. At the inn, Delphine approaches and relinquishes the Horn, demanding to speak in private. She reveals then that she is a member of a secret organization, seeking the next Dragonborn.

To provide sufficient proof of being truly Dragonborn, she asks for help in slaying a dragon at Kynesgrove. There, they find Alduin, the same dragon that attacked Helgen, resurrecting Sahloknir, another dragon. Completing this, she reveals herself to be a member of the Blades and believes that the Thalmor may be involved with the re-emergence of dragons in Skyrim.

  2. Jan 14, 2015 · After you've completed Diplomatic Immunity, you will be directed to return to Delphine in her secret room beneath Sleeping Giant Inn. On the lefthand side of the room, beside the table with the "Rise and Fall of the Blades" book, there is a normal-level chest. Inside will be your possessions, safe and waiting for you.

  3. Upon arriving at the site, you and Delphine will witness the dragon, Alduin, using his Thu'um to resurrect a dead dragon. Alduin cannot be killed or injured at this time. When the dragon, Sahloknir, is whole once more, he has a conversation in the dragon language with Alduin. Alduin: Sahloknir, ziil gro dovah ulse! Sahloknir!

  4. Delphine broken/stuck, main questline halted. I've just started a new character, and began going through the main questline. All was normal, until I returned from killing the first dragon of the game. Delphine, is standing in the same position that she was when talking to farengar, and will not move, or even speak to me.

  5. She fought the two draugr near the location of the horn. What I wonder is how did she open the secret door in Ustengrav and proceed into the Depths. Yah I know she's a pro, but the secret door aint some kind of door like what Mercer Frey opened. The door to Snow Veil Sanctum requires a key, and the puzzle door requires a claw.

  7. Delphine asked Farengar to research what he could on dragons following the attack on Helgen, I imagine (even if we assume she herself doesn'travel to Whiterun prior to her meeting with Farengar after the retrieval of the Dragonstone, she could've sent a message by some other means and communicated ahead of the Dragonborn's arrival in the city).
