The work and the relationships intertwine, for Jesus is not working on his own. “The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me” (John 14:10-11).
When Jesus says “I will come again” (verse ï), He is promising that (at some future day) He will come down from Heaven, raise His followers from their graves, and escort them to their heavenly home. Just because Jesus is going away does not mean that everything is all over.
