I’ve been trying to find books about warlocks. Like, our hero has made a deal with an other-worldly being in exchange for power and has to grapple with that. The only think I can think of is Stormlight Archive, but this isn’t quite right in terms of tone.
It's not D and D related but I feel the need to shout about Warlock Holmes books by GS Denning. The first one is a Study in Brimstone and it's mostly funny. The second is Hellhound of the Baskervilles, and it's mostly dark, sad and full of things are getting worse vibes. Two more at least to come.
