Mar 17, 2022 · The husky is a type of dog originally bred to be used as sled dogs in snowy regions. When many people hear the word “husky” they think of the Siberian husky, but the Siberian husky is just one of many breeds of husky. There are five commonly known breeds of husky:
- Huskies are infamously skilled escape artists. I’ll admit, you’ve probably heard this one before. However, I can’t stress how important it is to not take this statement lightly.
- Huskies are notoriously difficult to potty train. I’ve owned many dog breeds before, and I can say, without question, the Husky is the most difficult to housebreak.
- Huskies are more intelligent than they seem. One of the reasons why I love my Husky is because they’re silly, hilarious and a bit comical. They may be difficult to train, act derpy, and do absurd things at times, but don’t let that fool you.
- Huskies make terrible guard dogs. If you’re looking for a brave and fierce protector of your home, I’m sorry to say, that’s not the Husky (try the German Shepherd or Doberman instead).
- Siberian Husky Appearance: Siberian Husky is known for their striking wolf-like appearance. They have a well-muscled body, erect ears, and a thick double coat that comes in a variety of colors and markings.
- Alaskan Malamute Appearance: Alaskan Malamute is a large and powerful dog with a sturdy build. They have a thick double coat that provides insulation in cold weather.
- Alaskan Husky Appearance: Alaskan Husky is not a recognized breed but rather a type of dog bred for sledding and racing purposes. As a result, their appearance can vary widely.
- Canadian Eskimo Dog Appearance: Canadian Eskimo Dogs are large, powerful dogs with a well-muscled build. They have a thick double coat that helps protect them from harsh Arctic conditions.
