May 17, 2024 · If you didn't want to go in through the east entrance, you could drive over Chief Joseph Highway and drive to the northeast entrance, skipping Beartooth Pass. This would allow you to get a drive through Lamar Valley and tour Mammoth Hot Springs on your way to West Yellowstone for the night.
