Sławomir Mrożek (29 June 1930 – 15 August 2013) was a Polish dramatist, writer and cartoonist. Mrożek joined the Polish United Workers' Party during the reign of Stalinism in the People's Republic of Poland, and made a living as a political journalist. He began writing plays in the late 1950s.

Fabian Mrozek (born 28 September 2003) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Swedish club Brommapojkarna, on loan from Liverpool's academy.
Mrożek very quickly gained a reputation as Poland's chief mocker and scoffer, a writer who perfectly unmasked and analyzed the absurd realities of life in the Polish People's Republic. On many occasions this unmasking was accomplished by turning these realities on their head.
