Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is an American satirical comedy television miniseries written by David Wain and Michael Showalter, and directed by Wain. First Day of Camp is the second installment in the Wet Hot American Summer franchise.
Nestled in the wilds of Maine, Camp Firewood is in dire straights financially, causing the camp director (H. Jon Benjamin) to make an ill-advised deal with a nefarious corporation that ends up dumping cesspools of deadly toxic waste on the campgrounds.
Astrophysicist Henry Neumann (David Hyde-Pierce) rents a cabin next door to the camp. BTO is flowing on WCFW. Claude Dumet (John Slattery) recasts the big theatrical show and holds auditions. The Falcon cleans up a convenience store.
