When a devastating attack shatters Mark Hogancamp and wipes away all memories, no one expected recovery. Putting together pieces from his old and new life, Mark meticulously creates a wondrous town named Marwen where he can heal and be heroic.
Mark Hogancamp, an illustrator, gets brutally attacked when walking home from the bar one night. Three years later he is still trying to pick up the missing pieces of a life now lost to amnesia. Luckily he has everything he needs in his backyard; the miniature doll city called "Marwen".
