If the online service does not accept your V5 document reference number, it is the responsibility of the seller to inform DVLA or by sending your notification slip which can be detached from the V5 at the point of sale.

Jun 7, 2024 · Yes, we buy the cars outright. In this case it was a BMW 7 series. We put it out on a rent to buy basis on a contract over 3 years with weekly payments. The contract clearly states in 3 separate places that ownership does not pass until all payments are made. In this case £9.800 was due.
