But they have to get married first. Way Way Out (1966) is a Jerry Lewis movie that is not directed by Jerry Lewis but by Gordon Douglas. Mr.
Way Out swiftly squanders its space race premise and settles into a mind-numbingly dull suburban sitcom on the moon. The effect is tantamount to watching an episode of I Love Lucy produced by Gerry Anderson. It’s a very expensive looking production compared to other movies from this period in Jerry Lewis’ career.

Pretty terrible, but there's kernels of it that coulda worked in other decades. There's an extended drinking scene that made me think this coulda worked as a sci-fi Cassavetes movie with Falk/Cassavetes stuck on a spaceship with some broads. Also coulda worked as like a Mark Duplass / Jason Schwartzman modern indie thing.
