Description: The Garden State Parkway Bridge over the Passaic River, US Route 46, and River Drive is being widened to provide full-width lanes and adequate shoulders. This project is intended to extend the remaining life of the structure and improve safety. Schedule: Construction began in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

Jul 8, 2022 · Garden State Parkway Exit 105 Monthly Update: 07/08/22. The message below contains important project updates for the GSP Interchange 105 Improvement Project and will be posted on a monthly basis through the end of 2023. The next update will be posted in August, 2022.
A primary purpose of the Garden State Parkway Interchange 145 Improvements Project is to increase capacity for vehicles exiting and entering the roadway at Exit 145. The construction work will ultimately increase the exit from one lane to two exit lanes.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is undertaking a significant construction project to improve the Garden State Parkway from Milepost 140 to 143. These improvements include: repairs and upgrades to bridge structures; new lighting; new median barriers; and new asphalt paving.
