Project Overview. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is undertaking a significant construction project to improve the Garden State Parkway from Milepost 140 to 143. These improvements include: repairs and upgrades to bridge structures; new lighting; new median barriers; and new asphalt paving.

Mar 25, 2022 · Work zones have been created in the Garden State Parkway median at Springfield Avenue, Milepost 144.7, for bridge related work. During the weeks of 03/28/22 through 04/25/22, bridge substructure repair work will continue. Traffic impacts are not anticipated.
This contract will also include deck repairs and resurfacing to six (6) bridges on the Garden State Parkway between Milepost 160.6 and 162.5. The work will be accomplished in stages while maintaining the flow of traffic by utilizing multiple lane shifts and a precast concrete construction barrier.
