Description: The Garden State Parkway Bridge over the Passaic River, US Route 46, and River Drive is being widened to provide full-width lanes and adequate shoulders. This project is intended to extend the remaining life of the structure and improve safety.

May 31, 2021 · Central Avenue traffic has been restored to its original configuration and all work zones removed. All travel lanes and turn lanes have been re-opened over the bridge. Eastbound and westbound left turns at Oraton Parkway and Whittlesey Avenue are restored.
