Jul 3, 2004 · In Revelation 17 and 18, I believe Jerusalem is the “great harlot” who is judged for her sin. Peter was surely associated with the city of Jerusalem and the saints there. Could he not have referred to Jerusalem as Babylon, due to the sinful condition of that city, a condition which in but a few years would bring God’s wrath.
