Wardington is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of Banbury. The village consists of two parts: Wardington and Upper Wardington. The village is on a stream that rises in Upper Wardington and flows north to join the River Cherwell.

Warrington (/ ˈwɒrɪŋtən /) is an industrial town in the borough of the same name in Cheshire, England. The town sits on the banks of the River Mersey and is historically part of Lancashire. It is 19 miles (31 km) east of Liverpool, and 18 miles (29 km) west of Manchester.
For some years after 1547, when the bishop surrendered the manor to the Crown, WARDINGTON followed the descent of Cropredy manor; but it was retained longer by the Crown, though much diminished after 1552 by the sale of six copyholds out of twenty-two in Wardington and five out of six in Coton.
