Step One: Complete the online DS-160 and print the confirmation page for each person applying for a visa, regardless of age. Answer the questions to the best of your ability; we cannot assist you in completing the form. The first step in applying for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa is to complete your application. It takes approximately 90 minutes to do this. After you submit your application, you can move on to the next steps such as scheduling your interview. Important: Before You Start.
You are required to bring the following forms and documents in support of your visa application: Confirmation page of the application form DS-160 – You must show a printout of your DS-160 confirmation page (the page with the barcode) when you arrive at the Embassy;
All nonimmigrant visa applicants must complete the DS-160 Electronic Visa Application Form online. The information that you submit can only be viewed by you and the U.S. Embassy’s consular staff. You must answer every question truthfully. Errors or omissions could lead to the denial of your visa application.
