The team from Walkwood CE Middle School had the incredible opportunity of playing in front of 20,000 people before the Championship play-off final between Leeds United and Southampton.
REDDITCH United hosted the Year 8 Schools Cup Final last Friday, March 18 as Woodrush High School faced Walkwood Middle School. And Woodrush sealed a dramatic victory after a 1-1 draw sent the game to penalties with the High School scoring their seventh penalty in sudden death to claim the trophy.

In a closely contested match against Witton Middle School of Droitwich, the year seven Walkwood boys were unlucky to lose 1-0 to a 30-yard wonder strike. The final began with a midfield battle and neither team were able to break down the opposition and get a clean shot on target.
