Obituary. Rita M. H. Hoying was born on 21 August 1925 on South Main Street in Minster to Anton J. and Mary A. Duwel Fortman. She married Louis A. Hoying on 5 September 1955 and; he died 21 March 1982. Rita was the mother of three sons and four daughters, with four sons-in-law, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Moritz College of Law, in collaboration with the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, recently held an event that detailed the presidential election process and shed light on the presidential transition process.
