In 1997, Trimark Holdings Inc. decided to rename its home video unit from Vidmark Entertainment to Trimark Home Video, leaving out its last traces of the former Vidmark legacy. The Kidmark label was folded, and the company expanded to DVD production.
Vidmark Entertainment entered motion picture production in 1988 with the feature Demonwarp. Trimark picked up its first film, Warlock, a 1989 film starring Julian Sands which was a major theatrical hit with fans of such films. Trimark eventually made the sequel Warlock: The Armageddon in 1993.
