   Jul 27, 2020 · For some years, I have noticed a problem with the film and tv app on windows 10. This has happened on every windows 10 devices I have had including: PC, Tablet and laptop. The app works fine until I add my external hardive in the settings, “where we look for videos.”

   Will the app freeze when I watch a film?

   • The app won't freeze during watching a film but if you want to watch multiple videos as you may do with a TV series, you would have to select them one by one and closing the app in between each one and playing them via the windows explorer library instead of the app itself. It's the only workaround I’ve found to work which is less than ideal.
