Victoria Wood CBE (19 May 1953 – 20 April 2016) was an English comedian, actress, lyricist, singer, composer, pianist, screenwriter, producer and director.
In 2018 Bury Art Museum curated the first ever Victoria Wood exhibition in the UK, in May 2019 her statue across from the Art Museum in Library Gardens was unveiled, visitors came to say thank you to their hero: “Victoria Wood is a true Northern Hero! A fantastic exhibition for a much loved and missed comedy genius.”.
