Our first-floor galleries showcase historic and contemporary art from our collections plus exciting temporary exhibitions. On the second floor you can explore the University’s heritage collections of scientific, medical and natural history housed in the magnificent Tate Hall museum.
What we do. It’s our job to preserve and present all the unique objects from the last 130 years of the University’s history. We also curate imaginative and accessible exhibitions and displays to make sure there’s always something new to see at the Victoria Gallery & Museum. We’re organisers of Liverpool events, too.

Spanning the 16th to 21st centuries, the art collection comprises more than 6,500 items of fine art, sculpture, furniture, ceramics, glass and silverware. Some of the highlights of the Museum collection include X-rays from the very beginning of X-ray technology, an early 20th century dental surgery and dinosaur footprints from the North West!
