Benefits in the UK. Veterans, people serving in the armed forces and their dependants may be able to claim a range of benefits in the UK. These include: Universal Credit. Child Benefit. Statutory Sick Pay. Armed Forces Independence Payment. Personal Independence Payment. Sure Start Maternity Grant.
The HM Armed Forces Veteran Card is a way to prove that you served in the UK armed forces. The card can make it quicker and easier to apply for support as a veteran. You can apply online or contact the Veterans UK Helpline on 0808 1914 218.
