C.H. Irwwin. 2 Kings 3:16-25. And he said, Thus said the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. Two troubles had come upon Israel at this time. The kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom were gone forth to battle against the King of Moab. Strife is an evil between nations or individuals.
“We just need one big ditch down through the valley; that’s all we need.” And Elijah said, “Make the valley full of ditches.” That means a ditch in the street in front of your house, a ditch in the alley, a ditch between the houses.
