Valerio Magrelli was awarded the Premio Lerici Pea in 2010 for five uncollected poems, so rumours of his post-linguistic silence have clearly been exaggerated.
Valerio Magrelli was born in Rome in 1957. He is the author of several collections of poetry and innovative works of prose. Translations of his work into English include Vanishing Points (FSG, 2010) and In the Condominium of the Flesh (Parlor Press, 2015).
Biography. Valerio Magrelli (Rome, 1957) is the author of four poetry collections, for which he has won the Mondello Prize, the Viareggio Prize for poetry, and the Montale Prize. In November 2003 the Accademia dei Lincei awarded him the Premio Antonio Feltrinelli.
