The Boreal Chorus Frog (Pseudacris maculata) is found throughout the entire state of Nebraska. It's a small frog with an average body length of only 1 inch. The Chorus frog is slender with smooth yet granular skin, lacking any warty glands.

Identification. It is the largest frog in Nebraska and has become the most common. Bullfrogs are found in many aquatic habitats statewide. Its color is variable, with darker shades of green and greenish brown common. The underside or belly is white or while marbled with dark gray.

It can also be done in two - 45 minute class periods on consecutive days but teacher would need to provide quart size zip lock bags for specimen storage. Class Type: In Person Only.
