Admissions overview. The University of California, Berkeley, is the No. 1 public university in the world. Over 40,000 students attend classes in 15 colleges and schools, offering over 300 degree programs.
Each campus provides newly admitted students with conditions for admission that must be satisfied prior to enrollment at the University. The subject requirement must be completed no later than the date of your high school graduation.
Students who apply to Berkeley should meet the following minimum requirements: Meet the A-G subject course requirements. (Review the A-G Policy Resource Guide) Have a 3.0 GPA in A-G courses taken in the 10th and 11th grade years. (3.4 GPA for non-residents) *These minimum requirements follow the University of California (UC) minimum requirements.
