Un linceul n'a pas de poches (English: No Pockets in a Shroud) is a French film directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky in 1974.
In the newspaper he has just founded, journalist Dolannes exposes all the wheeling and dealing and scandals that go on in his town. But the day he exposes the socialist mayor's homosexual crime, he is shot dead by an unknown assailant in a cul-de-sac just before the paper is due to appear.

Enjoyable enough romp based on the hard boiled Horace McCoy novel but not very hard boiled. Basically the uncorruptable journalist takee on the corrupt town bigwigs and won't back down. Along the way various sexy dames throw themselves at him.
