Sep 25, 2023 · Warriors do technically have access to the Archery skill tree, but this is not a legitimately viable build until Dragon Age: Awakening and I don't want to get into the expansion for this guide. As far as specializations, Warriors have access to Templar, Berserker, Reaver, and Champion.

Specializations are sub-class choices that further define and customize characters in the Dragon Age series. They open access to new talents based upon the character's base class (Warrior, Mage or Rogue).

In Dragon Age: Origins, specializations must be unlocked. Each companion has one specialization when recruited, with one slot free for a second specialization (except Sten), while in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening, a third can be gained based on level. Their starting specialization can be taught to the Warden and their companions.

In Dragon Age II, specialization points are granted at every seventh level (7, 14). Each companion has one exclusive specialization, which cannot be passed on to others, with the exception of Bethany and Carver, who gain the Force Mage and Templar specialization that Hawke may choose. Companions are unable to learn an extra specialization.

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, specializations are unlocked after completing a specific quest related to them. Obtaining these quests requires the player to have already moved to Skyhold and have completed the Specializations for the Inquisitor war table operation. Once the operation is completed, three class specific trainers will arrive at Skyhold and offer the specialization quests and information about the specialization. The player character is limited to a single specialization and it can not be changed once decided. Companions each have a specific specialization and they are the same as the ones available to the player.

I generally always default to playing as a rogue, but in my recent playthrough of DA2 I played as a 2 handed warrior, and I actually had a lot of fun with it!

  5. Sep 25, 2024 · Warriors are frontline combatants in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. They specialize in heavy Armor and melee Weapons such as Swords, Axes, and Shields. Their primary roles are absorbing damage and controlling enemy positions. Warriors act as tanks, drawing enemy attacks away from more vulnerable allies.

  7. Two-handed warrior is great for blunt force and damage, but not so great as a tank/support role. They don't last as long in battle. If you go that route, you'll want to leave Cass/Blackwall as sword and shield. If you're playing on a higher difficulty, I recommend playing sword and shield and surrounding yourself with two mages and an archer.
