Sir Owen Tudor (Welsh: Owain ap Maredudd ap Tudur, c. 1400 – 2 February 1461) was a Welsh courtier and the second husband of Queen Catherine of Valois (1401–1437), widow of King Henry V of England. He was the grandfather of Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty.

May 21, 2018 · Tudor, Owen (c.1400–61). A humble Welsh servant of Catherine of Valois, widow of Henry V, he secretly married her about 1428. Their first-born Edmund was the father of Henry VII.
She had married Henry only days after the execution of Anne Boleyn, taking the motto ‘Bound to obey and serve’, but tragically died shortly after giving birth to Prince Edward. The brevity of her reign likely accounts for the fact that few contemporary images of her survive.
Tudur Owen is a Welsh actor, writer and stand-up comedian.
