Trinity College has three divisions. We have a welcoming and inclusive Residential College, a Pathways School for international students wishing to access the University of Melbourne, and a Theological School that offers courses accredited by the University of Divinity.
Trinity College and the University of Melbourne require prerequisite subjects for some areas of study. Your results in these subjects may form part of the assessment of your application. Students must be at least 16 years of age when commencing studies.
Trinity College is the oldest residential college of the University of Melbourne, the first university in the colony of Victoria, Australia. [1] The college was opened in 1872 on a site granted to the Church of England by the government of Victoria.
Trinity College is affiliated as a College ‘of and within the University of Melbourne’. The first Warden, Dr Alexander Leeper (1848–1934), takes office and introduces a system of College tutorials to supplement University lectures, thereby establishing the College as a centre of academic excellence.
