Treasure Planet is hella underrated though. It has a few rough edges, both in the plot and in the animation, but the people who made it put a lot of work into it. The production design alone rivals that of some great live action sci fi movies. I think Treasure Planet has more heart than Atlantis.
Thank you. While the movie isn't bad, it's not the greatest thing ever. The robot kills the second half of the movie. To me, it makes it almost unwatchable; it's reminiscent of the gargoyles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the difference being that those characters weren't around enough to have a huge impact on the story, and at times kept the serious tone of the film.
