Feb 13, 2024 · In 1955, Scared Stiff was included in a television package of 30 films, but the name was changed to Treasure of Fear to avoid confusion with the popular (and better) Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movie Scared Stiff.
A rather dimwitted reporter (Jack Haley) gets involved with a murder, some criminals and some stolen treasure. SCARED STIFF is one of those low-budget movies that was made quickly and for cheap and it's doubtful too many people saw it on its original release.

Currently the set is split between the feuding eccentric twins Charles and Preston Waldeck, who run the winery, and who have not spoken to each other in ten years. Also at the inn is Preston's grandson, Oliver Waldeck, a precocious boy genius, and his mentor, Professor Wisner.
