   Just watched season 1 and 2 and thought they were brilliant. Season 2 is better , I thought it was more thought provoking and had more depth. I think the bad reviews shows the misunderstanding of season 2 . It really isn’t about the plot. All the coincidences actually create more claustrophobia and intimacy amongst the characters .

   Wallender is excellent, and since the episodes are more based on individual books, they more episodic. I liked both the Swedish TV adaptation as well as the UK adaptation with Kenneth Branagh. Another really good British detective series that just started is Unforgotten. They've finished the first series and a second series has been commissioned.

   It made me care for all characters right away from episode 1, even if they had barely spoken two lines.
