Sep 25, 2024 · Both require four to six hours of sun a day, but the main difference is in the time of day in which they receive their sun. Aug 1, 2023 · To measure hours of sunlight in your garden, start early in the morning right after the sun rises. Take note of the garden sunlight exposure at that time. Then make a note of whether it’s in full sun, partial shade, filtered/dappled sun, or full shade. Then every hour, check the garden area again and write down the garden sun exposure.
