  5. This geological park is a gem down a gravel road in Western Nebraska. The little campground has a few permanent picnic tables with covers and camping pads, a bathroom, but no park rangers or staff. Entrance to the trails is free.

  6. Toadstool Geologic Park is noted for its unusual geological formations, some in the shape of toadstools, and scientifically valuable fossil deposits. Our interpretive kiosk explains and illustrates the local geology and provides information and history about the local grasslands.

  7. What a fantastic place to hike and explore, easy to moderate for all of the trails, with beautiful panoramic vistas, unique geological formations, and abundant wildlife. . This is one of the best places I have gone for solo hiking in years.
