The Course of True Love

The Course of True Love is a multi-part mission in IGN’s Red Dead Redemption 2 Walkthrough. Starting in Chapter 3, Arthur becomes entwined in a Romeo-and-Juliet-style romance of Beau Gray and Penelope Braithwaite. This guide highlights mission strategies and Gold Medal requirements for (Parts I - III).

To start this quest, head to the Gray’s plantation by Caliga Hall, right outside of Rhodes. You’ll find two men guarding the gate.
Approach them from the entrance. They’ll let you pass after a short cinematic conversation.
Head northeast, and go behind that building to find Beau against a wall, writing in a book.
•Reach Penelope without getting spotted
•Complete within 3 minutes
Beau Gray will tell you he loves Penelope, a Braithwaite. His family, the Grays, have been in a feud with the Braithwaites for generations, so their love is forbidden.
He asks Arthur for help, and sways him by offering to pay. Beau tells you Penelope loves to sit out by the gazebo somewhere nearby, at Braithwaite Manor, and to please deliver to her a gift and a letter.
You’ll need to be unseen, and fast, to complete the requirements. You can hold x/a the entire time while crouching to speed up.
You can see the guards, and the way they’re facing, on the map. Keep your eye on these as you sneak by. Luckily, it’s foggy out, so it shouldn’t be too troublesome.
Penelope’s at the gazebo by the lake. Approach her to prompt a cutscene. Turns out, she feels the same way, and asks you to deliver a letter back to him.
You can take the same path you took on your way in. Now head back to Beau with the letter to start Part III.
Beau is back at the Gray plantation, in the stables. Approaching him starts a cutscene. He’s worried by what he reads - Penelope is planning on going to a women’s suffrage rally.
