  1. The Zookeeper's Wife. Released: 28th August 2017. Jessica Chastain and Daniel Bruhl star in this historical drama directed by Niki Caro. Set in the Polish capital Warsaw, the story follows Antonina Zabinski (Chastain) and her husband Jan (Johan Heldenbergh) as they attempt to help as many local Jews as they can following the Nazi invasion in 1939.

  2. The Zookeeper's Wife might look cute and cuddly on the front cover, yet it lures you into a bleak and depressing story. Another saturated topic, we typically get two or three WWII films a year. Frustratingly, this is another typical holocaust film and one that will not standout against the packed crowd.

  3. This was a surprisingly good movie. I hadn't heard of it before and the story really was amazing, I didn't think that it was based on true events until the end. Watching movies set during the holocaust is never going to be easy and there are some parts that are difficult viewing but I think that people should see this film.

  4. The Zookeeper's Wife looks pleasant enough. The Blu-ray's 2.40:1 presentation shows off the competent period production design without any concerns, though it's not as flashy as say a Steven Spielberg or Christopher Nolan approach to the same material might have been. The 5.1 DTS-HD master audio soundtrack is satisfactory, without often wowing.
