The Underground takes place in a vast underground research facility in Antarctica in the year 2028, where a team of individuals went in search of a disturbance on radar that prompt them to dig down. After a while, the team splits up, and they all find themselves lost in an abandoned research facility.
The player discovers a series of old service railway tunnels, however some areas have been put on lockdown, forcing the player to find alternative routes. The facility is more serious than it was seen before, as the player finds missiles, warheads, and military technology.
