Rating. ★★★ Watched by Richard Cross 17 Jun 2022. Three men on the run stumble upon a British father and daughter and an Apache half-breed in the middle of inhospitable terrain and learn of a cursed mountain in which a vast treasure is rumoured to be hidden.
Extensive stock footage from 1949 film Lust for Gold with Glenn Ford, is used to flesh out the Columbia potboiler Secret of Treasure Mountain…. So this was the film and then on searching further found a storyline that I recognised:- The Apache Indians made three crosses of gold, which, when combined, will reveal the gold’s hiding place.
Secret Of Treasure Mountain is an excellent movie I saw on Sony Movie Channel last night. What really makes it work is with the exception of evil Raymond Burr, until the very end, you have no idea who is really good and really bad.
